Accounting looks backwards. We look ahead.
Why MoneyLights exists — told by the person who built it.
In 1994, at 24, I started my first software house. It was almost ten years building software, working with real clients and learning, hands-on, what it means to build a company from scratch.
Then I spent around ten years in banking, where I led projects tied to lending, financial calculation and risk analysis. It was an important phase: it gave me direct contact with financial systems, rules, decisions and responsibility.
Later, I returned to my natural territory: building software. We founded a new software house, specialised in real estate, which was eventually acquired by an international Real Estate group.
Today I lead a new, AI-native software house that works with a leading Real Estate client and applies artificial intelligence to product, process and technology development.
Along the way, I built companies, led teams and watched businesses grow. But there was a truth I took a while to accept: earning money doesn't automatically mean knowing how to look at it with clarity.
For many years I lived the pain so many business owners know well.
The bank balance might look comfortable, but part of that money already had a destination: VAT, taxes, salaries, suppliers and future obligations.
There were spreadsheets, forecasts, mental arithmetic and decisions often made on gut feeling. The same question kept coming back: how much of this money is really free to use?
Even after my time in banking, even after leading projects in lending, financial calculation and risk analysis, I realised that none of it meant having simple, practical financial literacy applied to the day-to-day of my own companies.
Maybe it was the maturity of turning 50 that made me stop and look at this differently. Not just to earn more, but to understand better. To decide more calmly. To stop treating money as a permanent scare.
The turning point came when I realised the problem wasn't a lack of work, nor a lack of ambition, nor even a lack of revenue.
The problem was the way we look at money inside a company.
For years, I looked at money after the decisions. MoneyLights is born from the opposite idea: look before. Set aside before. Reserve before. Know what's already committed before you spend.
The company's money needed to become something simpler to understand: what's for taxes, what's for safety, what's for profit, what's for paying the owner and what's truly safe to spend.
That's how MoneyLights began to take shape: a tool built, first of all, to solve the pain I felt myself in my own companies.
Today, MoneyLights is a platform built by Borlantrix to help small businesses, freelancers, agencies and service teams look at money with more clarity.
We connect bank movements, documents and artificial intelligence to show cash flow, reserves, profit, taxes and what's safe to spend — without replacing your accountant, without complicating management and without turning finance into an inaccessible language.
MoneyLights exists because I believe many business owners don't just need to earn more. They need to breathe more easily when they look at their money.
My commitment is to build a European tool — secure and honest, made to reduce financial anxiety and give control back to the people who have to make decisions with real money every day.

What we believe in.
Clarity beats dashboards.
If you need a manual to know whether you're doing fine, the tool has failed. MoneyLights answers the question that matters in three colours. The rest is detail — it's there, but only when you go looking for it.
Real money, not made-up charts.
Reserves that only exist on a chart vanish at the first squeeze. MoneyLights Envelopes live in real bank accounts — the VAT is set aside because it's genuinely set aside.
AI that calculates, not guesses.
Your agent explains, guides and answers. But the tax figures come from official tables and deterministic calculation — never from a model's hunch. If we're not sure, we tell you.
No tricks.
No lock-in, no fake urgency, no made-up testimonials, no small print. If one day you want to leave, you leave — and we'll walk you to the door.
MoneyLights is developed by Borlantrix OÜ, a European company registered in Estonia.
